The objective of the GLBTC (Great Lakes Belgian Tervuren Club) is to encourage and promote the responsible breeding of purebred Belgian Tervuren, and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection. This lifetime responsibility for the offspring falls equally upon the owners of the stud dog and the brood bitch.
To urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which the Belgian Tervuren shall be judged.
To do all in its power to protect and advance the interest of the Belgian Tervuren and to encourage sportsmanlike competition at dog show and performance trials.
To conduct matches, dog shows and performance trials under the rules of the American Kennel Club.
To support the parent club, The American Belgian Tervuren Club, in its endeavors.
